At a meeting November 18 of congregational leaders from the Administrative Council and our Trustees it was decided to suspend ALL IN-PERSON WORSHIP BEGINNING WITH SUNDAY THE 22ND OF NOVEMBER. This suspension will continue until the end of the year. It is in keeping with the recommendation of Indiana Conference Bishop Julius C Trimble. In a statement e-mailed to all Indiana Conference congregations Bishop Trimble wrote: "It is the recommendation of your Bishop that all churches should suspend in-person worship and in-person meetings of groups for the foreseeable future until the number of COVID cases improve. This will likely include making alternative plans for the holidays." Bishop Trimble went on to write "I am calling on all pastors to use their authority to make wise and bold decisions for their community, and am calling for all Indiana United Methodists to continue ministry in creative and innovative ways." Calvary UMC will continue to live stream our 10am Sunday worship and broadcast it over 92.5 FM. The Sunday worship will be available live streaming on our church website for viewing at 10am and on YOU TUBE at your future convenience. www.syracusecalvaryumc.org Persons will still be able to park around the church Sunday mornings to listen on the radio. Church office hours will remain unchanged; Monday-Thursday 7:30am to 2:30pm.
